Mercury Interaction Protocol

As per Victor:

  1. When I am in the Mech you must refer to me only as my callsign: Mercury. No other nicknames, shorthand or pseudonyms will be acceptable. Outside the mech you will refer to me as Captain, but you must never use this title in Mech. While I remain your superior on the outside, when we are on mission I will be your equal and you will treat me as such.
  2. Do not discuss any experiences of the flesh or current events with Mercury. Do not discuss the feel of the breeze, the news of the day, that you desperately need to piss, or any romantic escapades. Save it for when you’re grounded. I won’t want to hear it either though so keep it to yourselves off mission as well.
  3. There are protocols in place to ensure that I am properly re-associated before Mercury can leave the Chomolungma. Under ordinary circumstances it should not be possible or conceivable for Mercury to avoid this protocol. Combat can be chaotic and unpredictable. If a circumstance arises in which it becomes possible for Mercury to physically leave the mech without completing the re-association you must convince or prevent him from doing so. If he does manage to escape the mech without re-associating you must neutralise him. Failing to do so will result in court-marshalling.
  4. Mercury is not allowed to participate in any long range communication whether mission critical or not other than the direct channel to Colonel Lupata and HQ. He can communicate with you as his squadmates, and hack hostiles, but he can not access the omninet. This is inbuilt to his mech so should not require anything from you.
